Before you open an account from Pakistan
Read the local rule first. In EPD Circular Letter No. 08 of 2022, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) says that buying products from offshore forex, CFD and margin trading platforms by residents of Pakistan violates section 4(1) of the Foreign Exchange Regulation Act, 1947, and that remittances to these platforms, directly or indirectly, through any payment channel are not allowed; it has told banks to stop them. In warnings since April 2025, the SECP says such platforms operate without approval or oversight from any Pakistani regulator. Every broker on this page is an offshore broker in that sense: is forex trading legal in Pakistan.
This page lists brokers that take clients from Pakistan. It is not a statement that using them is lawful for a resident of Pakistan; that decision, and its legal risk, are the reader’s. Rules as of October 2026.
Which entity serves clients from Pakistan?
A broker’s best-known licence often does not apply to every client. Clients from Pakistan are served by the brokers’ offshore entities:
| Broker | Entity for clients from Pakistan | Regulator | Negative balance protection |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tickmill | Tickmill Ltd | FSA (Seychelles) | Yes |
| Pepperstone | Pepperstone Markets Limited | SCB (Bahamas) | Yes |
| XM | XM Global Limited (operator of xm.com) | FSC (Belize) | Yes, according to XM |
| IC Markets | Raw Trading Ltd | FSA (Seychelles) | No |
| FxPro | FxPro Global Markets Ltd (most clients outside the UK) | SCB (Bahamas) | Yes |
| Exness | Exness (SC) Ltd and other offshore entities | FSA (Seychelles) and others | Yes, for Exness (SC) Ltd |
Entities as stated in each broker’s own documents, checked October 2026; the entity that opens an account is named in the client agreement shown at sign-up. Offshore regulators generally offer fewer protections than the FCA or ASIC, and Pakistani complaint channels do not apply: forex regulation.
Deposits and withdrawals from Pakistan
The SBP has told banks to stop payments to offshore forex, CFD and margin trading platforms through any payment channel, so payments to the brokers on this page can be blocked, and the SBP treats them as not allowed. This page does not describe ways to send money to these platforms.
How we chose these brokers
The list includes every broker we have reviewed that takes clients from Pakistan, ranked by its overall score under our review methodology. Scores reflect the whole broker group; the entity that serves clients from Pakistan is shown in the table above. Some of these brokers pay us a commission when a reader opens an account; this does not affect scores or order. Brokers that are not on the page have not been reviewed yet.
The regulated alternative in Pakistan
The Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX) is a futures exchange overseen by the SECP, and its contracts are traded through SECP-licensed futures brokers. Check the current product list on the PMEX website and the broker on the PMEX or Pakistan Stock Exchange lists before opening an account. For fee-based prop firm challenges instead of a broker account, see prop firms that accept traders from Pakistan.
