Corrections Policy

We work hard to be accurate, but mistakes can happen. When they do, we fix them quickly and openly.

How to report an error

Use the details on our contact page. Please include the page address, what you believe is wrong and, if possible, a source that supports the correction.

What we do

1. An editor checks the report against primary sources.
2. If the page is wrong or misleading, we correct it and update the page’s “Updated” date.
3. For significant factual corrections — for example a wrong formula, figure or regulatory fact — we add a short correction note to the page explaining what changed.
4. Calculator errors are fixed in the code together with an automated test, so the same mistake cannot return.

Minor edits such as typos or clearer wording are made without a note.
