Editorial Policy

Forex content can affect people’s money, so we hold every page to the standards below.

Our standards

  1. Answer the question first. Every article opens with a direct answer, followed by the detail.
  2. Show the working. Where numbers are involved we give the formula and a worked example, so readers can verify the result.
  3. Cite primary sources for facts. Where a page relies on figures, rules, dates or statistics, we cite primary sources — central banks, regulators (such as the CFTC, NFA, FCA, ESMA and ASIC), exchanges and the Bank for International Settlements — in preference to secondary summaries, and list them at the end of the page. Pages that explain general mechanics, such as how an order type works, may not need external sources.
  4. Stay educational. We explain how things work. We do not give personal investment advice, trade recommendations or signals, and we do not promise returns.
  5. Be clear about risk. Leveraged trading is risky; our content says so wherever it matters.

How content is produced

Pages are planned from the questions people actually search for. Drafts are prepared with the help of AI writing tools, then every draft is fact-checked and edited by a human editor before publication. Editors verify each figure, formula, date and source link. A page is only published once that review is complete, and the review date is shown on the page.

Where a named subject-matter expert has reviewed a page, their name appears as “Reviewed by”.

Keeping content up to date

Regulations, leverage limits and market conventions change. We review pages periodically and whenever the underlying facts change; the “Updated” date on each page shows the last substantive change.

Calculators

Our calculators use the standard formulas shown on each tool page and are covered by automated tests. Results exclude spreads, commissions and swaps unless stated, and may differ slightly from your broker’s figures because of rounding and pricing.
