Who owns Alpha Capital?

Alpha Capital is operated by Alpha Capital Group Limited, United Kingdom (company number 13719951), founded in 2021. On whether accounts are simulated, Alpha Capital states: “simulated evaluation accounts, in which no real funds are utilised”

Payout data: Alpha Capital states "$100M+" in performance fees paid (undated, read on 3 October 2026). It does not say that this figure is independently audited.

Is Alpha Capital legit?

Alpha Capital Group Limited is a UK company (number 13719951), incorporated on 2 November 2021 and listed as active on Companies House, with its founders as directors. Its terms are governed by English law. The firm says it is not authorised by the FCA and is not covered by the Financial Ombudsman Service. Its terms also include a non-disparagement clause and a clause making the user liable for the firm’s legal costs in disputes.

Both stages are simulated: evaluation accounts use no real funds, and funded (“Qualified Analyst”) accounts stay in a simulated environment, which the firm says it may use as signals for its own trading. Alpha Capital states that it has paid over $100 million in performance fees, without a date or an independent audit: are prop firms legit?

Alpha Pro vs Alpha One

  • Alpha Pro is a 2-step challenge with a static maximum loss. The 8% version has targets of 8% and 5%, a 4% daily loss limit and an 8% maximum loss; the 6% version has targets of 6% and 6%, a 3% daily limit and a 6% maximum loss. Each phase needs three trading days.
  • Alpha One is a 1-step challenge with a 10% target, a 4% daily limit and a 6% maximum loss that trails the highest balance and locks at the initial balance once the balance reaches $106,000.

The fee depends on the payout schedule chosen at checkout (bi-weekly or on-demand), and the 90% split costs about 10% more. No plan refunds the fee: prop firm challenge explained.

Maximum loss floors on $100K after a $3,000 gain (illustrative only)

  • Alpha Pro 8% (static): the floor stays at $92,000.
  • Alpha One (6%, trails the highest balance): the floor rises from $94,000 to $97,000; it stops at $100,000 once the balance reaches $106,000.

What rules apply on Alpha Capital funded accounts?

  • Max Risk Rule: on funded accounts bought after 21 July 2026, open losses on any single asset may not reach 2% on a $100K account; a breach closes the account.
  • News: no opening or closing trades five minutes either side of listed news on funded Pro and One accounts; profits made in the window are removed.
  • Weekends: positions cannot be held over the weekend on funded Pro accounts; One accounts may hold them.
  • Expert advisors: MetaTrader 5 only, for trade management, and pre-approved by the firm.
  • Inactivity: 30 days without trading closes the account.

How do Alpha Capital payouts work?

On the bi-weekly schedule, the first payout is available 14 days after the first funded trade and needs at least $100 of profit. On the on-demand schedule, a payout can be requested once profit reaches 2% and no single day makes up more than 40% of the profit: prop firm consistency rule. Alpha Capital says payouts are paid within two business days. Alpha Pro accounts scale by 10% for each 10% gain, up to $2 million; Alpha One accounts do not scale.

Who can join Alpha Capital?

Alpha Capital does not serve nationals or residents of 22 countries and the sanctioned regions of Ukraine, including Russia, Belarus, Iran, Venezuela and Vietnam. Its pages disagree on US residents: the help centre says they can join, while the checkout asks buyers to confirm they are not US residents or citizens.
